Max de Castro

I’m a student at the University of Pennsylvania, studying Computer Science and Political Science.

I grew up between South Africa, Portugal, and Eswatini. I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so I spent my summers working in supermarkets, on construction sites, and in back-office insurance.

In high school, I built bots for sneaker drops in South Africa. The summer before university, I moved to rural Alberta to plant trees. I spent three months on a campsite with seventy people, without electricity beyond a generator. By the end of the summer, I had planted 75,000 trees.

I build AI products from 0 to 1. I work across product, design, and engineering.
